IPL Points Table 2025 Updated After RCB Thrashed MI at Wankhede!

IPL Points Table 2025: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) delivered a stunning performance at Wankhede, defeating Mumbai Indians (MI) in a high-scoring encounter.

Batting first, RCB posted a massive total of 221, thanks to a solid partnership between Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal, followed by a quick-fire half-century from Rajat Patidar and some fine finishing by Jitesh Sharma. The turning point came after the 13th over timeout, where the batting gears shifted and the MI bowlers, apart from Bumrah, faced an onslaught.

In response, MI started well with Rohit Sharma and Rickelton, but wickets in quick succession hurt their chase. RCB’s spinners Krunal Pandya and Suyash Sharma slowed things down in the middle overs, helping the team hold their nerve and secure the win.

Emotions ran high, with the elder Pandya brother ending up on the winning side, while Hardik looked distraught in the MI camp.

This IPL season has seen many results that didn't happen in so many years in the past. Delhi Capitals won at Chepauk, KKR breached Eden Garden's fortress, the latest being Wankhede's win.

IPL Points Table 2025

With this win, RCB now sits comfortably at third position in the IPL 2025 points table, having won 3 out of their 4 matches, with a healthy Net Run Rate (NRR) of +1.015. Delhi Capitals lead the table unbeaten with 3 wins from 3 and the best NRR of +1.257. Gujarat Titans are close behind with 6 points from 4 matches and an NRR of +1.031.

Punjab Kings, KKR, LSG, and Rajasthan Royals all sit in the mid-table zone with 2 wins each and minor differences in NRR. Meanwhile, MI’s campaign is in trouble—they've now lost 4 out of 5 matches, placing them eighth, just above CSK and SRH, who are also struggling with only one win each and poor NRRs. As the tournament heats up, teams in the bottom half will need to regroup quickly to stay in the race for playoffs.
