TATA IPL 2025 has witnessed the conclusion of the league stage with a record-shattering chase by RCB, and all eyes are now on the Playoffs of the prestigious tournament. We have our top four teams that have qualified for the playoffs of the tournament. We have fixed venues and all that remains is the action for the coveted trophy. 

Conducting a big tournament like the IPL was a challenge in itself. A tournament of 10 teams, players from all around the world, a three-month-long league, and 70+ matches in 12 to 14 venues, and if it wasn't enough, we saw the suspension of the tournament amid some escalating border tensions with Pakistan. 

However, not for too long, and just after a week, IPL restarted, and now with all the league stage matches being played, we have our top four teams for the playoffs.

TATA IPL 2025 Playoff Format

The playoff is played between top four teams of the points table at the end of the League stage of the tournament. This year, Punjab Kings, RCB, Gujarat Titans, and Mumbai Indians have ended their league stage at number 1, 2, 3, and 4, respectively. 

The top two teams (Punjab Kings and RCB) are all set to play Qualifier 1, and the winner will play the final of the tournament. However, the loser of Qualifier 1 gets another chance in Qualifier 2. Qualifier 2 is played between the loser of Qualifier 1 and the winner of the Eliminator game. The eliminator game in TATA IPL 2025 is set to be played between the 3rd-ranked Gujarat Titans and the 4th-ranked Mumbai Indians. 

The winner of Qualifier 2 will then head to the finals and play the winner of Qualifier 1 in the finals of the tournament.
