LSG vs RCB

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are one of the most anticipated teams. Their matches always have a huge audience, and the spectators go crazy for a peak of their favourite players. While RCB has been around in the tournament since it commenced, LSG recently began its IPL journey in 2022.

RCB and LSG have previously locked horns twice in the IPL. RCB emerged as the ultimate champion in the 14th season of the IPL, in the battle when they won both the knockout matches. Both the encounters were high-scoring matches, and RCB won both of them with low margins.

Let’s take a look at the tactical match analysis of both teams with respect to their squads and match history.

RCB has had hits and misses in their squad players missing out due to injuries from the previous season to this season of the IPL.

The Chinnaswamy pitch seems to remain the same as the previous game and might help with Swing. Hence, Mohd. Siraj seems to get help in the powerplay as he will seek to dismiss the openers early. Some quick wickets might be expected in the powerplay if RCB chooses to bat first.

RCB might look to counter KL Rahul’s high runs against fast bowlers by introducing left-arm orthodox or leg spin bowling early in the powerplay.

Karn Sharma has had a good bowling record against Deepak Hooda in the IPL. The former has dismissed the Batting- All-Rounder twice in just 10 deliveries. RCB might keep this in mind to take wickets.

The opening Batsmen of RCB, Virat Kohli and Faf duPlessis have had a good record against Amit Mishra and can look to score against the spin bowler.
