Kolkata Knight Riders had a disastrous outing in the first half of the tournament as they lost games and were reeling at the bottom half of the points table. But they have proved out to be a challenging side in the second half of the tournament. They are among the teams that are fighting for the playoff spot but the road now won’t be easy for them.

KKR have 10 points from 12 points and are currently placed 7th on the points table. They looked like hot favourites to qualify for the playoffs with their performances in the last few games. But their recent loss to Rajasthan Royals has dented their chances and it’ll now be an uphill task for them to qualify.

Kolkata Knight has two more games left. They need to win two games by a big margin as it’ll help them to reach 14 points and also improve their NRR, which is turning out to be a crucial thing for all the teams.

Their chances to qualify for the playoffs have been reduced to 5% and for them to qualify now, they need to win all their three games by a big margin and then hope that Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, and Lucknow Super Giants lose two out of their remaining three games.
