The Gujarat franchise tested players like Sai Sudharsan and Matthew Wade at the top of the order after Shankar’s poor performances, but neither of them was successful throughout the tournament.
Sudharsan had a solid performance, scoring 145 runs in five games with a strike rate of 127.19, but he didn’t hold up to the team’s expectations. The think tank might choose Jagadeesan in an effort to upgrade their batting lineup.
