KKR features some of the biggest names of the shortest format be it Andree Russell or Eoin Morgan however they could not qualify for the business end of the tournament. The opening has been an issue for the Knight Riders given there is no surety that Sunil Narine will get to open in the coming IPL.
Dawid Malan for them becomes an obvious choice for the opening slot. He has been outstanding lately and will prove a worthy player for KKR also. Moreover, in the recent past, Eoin Morgan has backed Malan in the national T20 side for England and he will surely insist the franchise to go after him.

Royal Challenger Bangalore (RCB) have been notorious with the picks and surprised their fans through the IPL journey. They have released their overseas opener Aaron Finch who didn’t perform up to the expectations last time.
RCB despite getting off with a good start often tend to lose the momentum halfway through the tournament. With the slot left for the overseas opener, RCB will try to acquire English opener.
