Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal’s parents tested covid positive, father hospitalised with serious symptoms.

Indian spinner and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal’s parents have recently tested covid positive. The news was confirmed by Chahal’s wife and choreographer Dhanashree Verma.

In an Instagram story, Dhanashree said that her father in law, advocate KK Chahal, is admitted to the hospital after severe symptoms while her mother, Sunita Devi, is being treated at home. She also informed that her mother and brother who were earlier tested covid positive are now recovered well.

“April-May. It’s been really tough and emotionally challenging for me. At first, my mother and brother tested positive. I was in the IPL bubble and felt extremely helpless but did monitor them from time to time. It’s really difficult to stay away from your family. Fortunately, they have recovered,” Dhanashree said in her Instagram story.

Further, Dhanashree wrote that she lost her close uncle and aunt due to his dreaded virus recently. “But I lost my aunt and very close uncle due to Covid and its complications,” she wrote.

“And now my parents in law have tested positive with severe symptoms. My father-in-law is admitted and my mother-in-law is being treated at home. I was at the hospital and I have witnessed the worst. I am taking all the precautions but… Guys please stay at home and take proper care of your family.”

Yuzvendra Chahal was with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for the IPL 2021 before it was halted midway due to the prevailing covid situation in the country. Multiple covid cases were informed inside the bio-bubbles following which the cash-rich league was banned. Dhanashree Verma also accompanied Yuzvendra Chahal for the IPL and was the part of RCB bio-bubble environment.
