India vs South Africa: Rahul Dravid reveals the batting approach of the Indian batters

India vs South Africa: Team India has arrived in South Africa. India and South Africa will compete in a total of 8 matches against each other, which includes 3 T20i’s, 3 Odi’s, and 2 Test matches. Suryakumar Yadav will continue to lead the Men in Blue in the T20I series, while KL Rahul has been named as the skipper for the 3 ODI’s. Rohit Sharma will return to captain Team India in the two test matches against the Proteas.

Aiden Markram will be the captain of the Proteas for the 3 T20i’s and the ODI’s, while Bavuma will continue leading the team in the Test Matches. India’s tour of South Africa begins with the 1st T20i match set to take place in 3 days on December 10.

In reality, the Indian squad has tasted limited success in South Africa. Team India has not managed to win a single test series against the Proteas in South Africa. The Men in Blue have had limited success against the African’s in T20I’s and ODI’s as well. The most significant reason for this has been the difficult conditions for the batsmen.Bowlers get pretty good movement on the pitches in South Africa, and the bounce varies; thus, Indian batsmen end up losing the series before they can adjust to the circumstances. That is why Rahul Dravid has departed for South Africa with a different game plan in mind.

Rahul Dravid stated in an interview with Star Sports, “South Africa is a difficult place to bat.” You can tell by looking at the numbers. This is one of the toughest locations to bat. Batting is difficult, particularly in Centurion and Johannesburg. Every Indian batter will have a game plan for how he wants to play on these wickets in such a situation. Everything will be OK as long as he stays focused on his game plan, remains committed, and continues to practice for it.”

“We are not expecting all the players to play in the same way. They should be very clear about what will be better for them on these grounds. And then they should also be able to implement those things. Well, I think that if our players get a chance to settle down well there, then definitely every player will try to make a match-winning contribution,” Dravid added.
