India vs South Africa

India vs South Africa 2nd ODI – Ranchi Weather Forecast and Pitch Report : After suffering a defeat in the series opener at Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium, Shikhar Dhawan-led team India will be keen on levelling the three-match ODI series against South Africa at Ranchi as the two sides gear up for the 2nd ODI.

Despite a praiseworthy fightback from Sanju Samson, India lost the 1st ODI by nine runs. The match was reduced to 40 overs per side due to a wet outfield and rain showers. South Africa managed to amass 249 runs in their quota of 40 overs, while team India could only score 240.

Sanju Samson scored an unbeaten 86 and kept his side in the hunt till the final over. Vice-captain Shreyas Iyer also showed some good signs of form as he managed to score a half-century.

The bowlers also played their part cleanly. Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi were amongst wickets. However, fielding was the most disappointing aspect of the game. The Indians were sloppy on the field. They created half chances which would have been taken on a normal day in business.

Keeping all the facts in mind, Shikhar Dhawan and co will turn up in the second ODI at JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi on 9th October. This article will lead you through India vs South Africa 2nd ODI – Ranchi Weather Forecast and Pitch Report.

India vs South Africa 2nd ODI – Ranchi Pitch Report:

The JSCA International Stadium often assists batters more as compared to bowlers. The pacers may get some help early on, however, it will be one-way for the spinners as the match progresses due to slowness in the surface. Toss will be a key factor. Skipper winning the flip of the coin would love to bat first and put up a score for the opposition.
