India vs Bangladesh: India and the host will play a two-match test series after the ODI series against Bangladesh is through. Although India lost the ODI series, Ishan Kishan converted his maiden hundred into a big one. The first test match between India and Bangladesh will be played on December 14.

In preparation for the two-match Test series between India and Bangladesh, the BCCI has made certain adjustments to Team India. Three significant setbacks have troubled Team India. Rohit Sharma will not play in the first Test while  Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja will not appear in the entire series.

India vs Bangladesh Test: Rahul will lead the team in the first test.

Team India has been announced for the first test. Rohit Sharma has been ruled out of the first test. KL Rahul has been made the captain after Rohit’s exit. At the same time, Cheteshwar Pujara has been made the vice-captain. KL Rahul showed a glimpse of his form in the ODIs and now fans are hoping for a strong comeback from him.

The BCCI gave a significant update when they announced that fast bowlers Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja would be missing for the entire series owing to injury. Shami has not fully recovered from that shoulder issue, while all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out from the Test series.

India vs Bangladesh Test: Replacements 

BCCI announced that Jaydev Unadkat, left-arm spinner Saurabh Kumar, and Navdeep Saini have been called into the team to replace Mohammed Shami & Ravindra Jadeja, who have been ruled out of the series. Abhimanyu Easwaran is named to replace Rohit Sharma for the first test. Navdeep Saini is the latest to be added to the squad.
