India vs Australia: India will be taking on Australia in the first of the three-match T20I series. The opening game of the bilateral series is supposedly going to be played in the IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali. After a disappointing end to the Asia Cup 2022 last month, wherein the men in blue couldn’t even make it to the finals, the team will be looking to turn things around with a convincing series win over a strong Australian side. 

Australia meanwhile who are coming off after a convincing ODI series win over New Zealand will be confident enough to play India away from home in an intense T20I series. Both teams will be looking to start the series on a high with a win.

India 

Preview: The Indian team has to miss the services of several prominent players during the Asia Cup. Players like Jasprit Bumrah, Harshal Patel will be making a comeback after being out with injuries for quite some time in the past. Speedster Umesh Yadav shall also be a part of India’s squad and might perhaps feature in a game or two during the series. 

The batting order is more or less settled with the likes of Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Dinesh Karthik and others, all of whom shall be a part of India’s XI in all probabilities in the first T20I. The side will be missing the services of their key opening batsman David Warner who was given a rest early on towards the later half of the ODI series vs NZ Considering his heavy workload all round the year. 

The team’s regular white ball skipper Aaron Finch, who retired from One Day Internationals recently will be leading the side in the T20I series. Players like Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell, and Mathew Wade shall provide the required batting depth to the team. Big-hitting batsman, Tim David shall possibly be handed his T20I debut in the match tomorrow’s India vs Australia match. 

The Bowling department too shall be seemingly strong in the presence of Josh Hazelwood, Sean Abbott, Pat Cummins and Adam Zampa.

Josh Hazlewood will be leading Australia’s pace attack in the upcoming India vs Australia game. His brilliance with the ball has been of good use to his side on several occasions in the shortest format of the game.
