India Cricket Team is all set to tour Sri Lanka for the white-ball series after the conclusion of the T20 World Cup 2024. Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) on Wednesday (29th November announced their future tour programs and apart from India, 8 other teams will be playing.
The T20 World Cup 2024 will be played between June 4 to June 30 in the Carribean and the United States of America. However, just after that India will be touring Sri Lanka for the ODI as well as the T20I series.
Although the full schedule of the series is yet to be announced, but SLC confirmed that it’ll be a three-match ODI and a three-match T20I series. It is expected that BCCI would give opportunities to youngsters in the series and those who will be part of the T20 World Cup 2024 squad are likely to be rested.
Sri Lanka will begin 2024 with a series against Zimbabwe in January. It’ll be a home series for them as they will be playing three ODIs and T20Is each. Following that, they will take on Afghanistan in an all-format series.
Sri Lanka and Afghanistan will clash with each other in one-off Test, three ODIs, and three T20Is in January and February. Following that, they will be touring Bangladesh for two Tests, three ODIs and three T20Is.
Following the T20 World Cup 2024 and India series, Sri Lanka will tour England for a three-match Test series. Following the UK tour, Sri Lanka will lock horns with New Zealand and West Indies at home from September to November.
The year 2024 will conclude for Sri Lanka as they will tour South Africa and New Zealand. The team will play two-match Test series against Proteas whereas it’ll be a three-match T20I and three-match ODI series against Kiwis.
