India Cruise to a 7-Wicket Win in High-Voltage Clash

India defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets in a high-voltage Asia Cup 2025 clash in Dubai. Kuldeep Yadav starred with the ball while Suryakumar Yadav guided India to victory and top spot in Group A.

In a much-anticipated Asia Cup 2025 Group A encounter, India outclassed Pakistan by 7 wickets in Dubai on Sunday, September 14.

Early Pakistan Collapse

Put into bat first, Pakistan struggled to build momentum. India’s bowlers kept things tight, with Kuldeep Yadav (3/18) leading the charge. Supported well by Axar Patel and Hardik Pandya, India restricted Pakistan to just 127/9 in their 20 overs.

India’s Aggressive Chase

Chasing a modest target, India began aggressively. Abhishek Sharma gave a flying start with 31 runs off just 13 balls. Later, Tilak Varma (31) and skipper Suryakumar Yadav (47*) stitched a steady stand, guiding India to victory with 25 balls to spare.

Off-Field Tension, On-Field Dominance

The match carried emotional weight, being the first India‑Pakistan clash since recent political tensions. There was no formal handshake between the captains, adding to the drama, but on the field, India kept their focus and dominated throughout.

Group A Advantage

With this win, India sit comfortably at the top of Group A with two wins from two games, moving closer to a Super 4 qualification spot.
