IND vs WI: Strongest India's T20I Squad for West Indies series: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently announced Team India's test and One Day International (ODI) squads for the upcoming tour of West Indies. However, the suspense on the T20I squad is still there as BCCI is yet to reveal the Twenty20 format squad for the tour.

India and West Indies will begin their five-match T20I assignment on August 03 in Trinidad following the completion of the Test and ODIs. The first three games of the five-match series will be held in West Indies (Trinidad and Guyana) and the remaining two games will be held in Florida, USA.

Although the major focus of the BCCI and Indian management would be on the 50-over games because of the impending ICC Cricket World Cup, the BCCI would also take some bold steps to restructure its T20I side.

Team India lost the T20 World Cup 2022 and it brought harsh criticism on the senior players, who once again failed to prove their worth in the ICC Knockout events. Rohit Sharma-led India took an exit from T20 World Cup 2022 after losing the second semi-final against England by 10 wickets.

In the recent past, a number of people have called out BCCI for sacking the senior players and making necessary reforms in the T20I side, which could be seen in the upcoming five-match T20I series against West Indies.

With the BCCI making its mind to look beyond the senior players, the likes of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli among others are unlikely to be included in the T20I squad which will be led by Hardik Pandya. The Indian selectors would take the opportunity to give extended runs to the youngsters, who have garnered accolades with their performance during the Tata IPL 2023.

The likes of Tilak Verma, Deepak Hooda, Rahul Tripathi and Umran Malik among others might get some good game time in the absence of senior pros.
