IND vs SA: India Playing 11 for the first Test against South Africa prediction

IND vs SA: The Test series between India and South Africa is just two sleeps away from. The series has kept everyone excited even in its build up and it is just a teaser with pictures yet to come. The series will begin on 26th January with the first game in Centurion followed by a second match to be played on 3rd January.?

IND vs SA: All the eyes will be on the Indian team going into the Test series. They have a long unfinished business in South Africa as they are yet to win a series there and would be hoping to end that this time around. 

Coming to the Indian playing XI for the IDN vs SA Test, there?s no doubt that skipper Rohit Sharma will open the innings for his team. He is expected to play a huge role at the top and accompanying him at the top would be young Yashasvi Jaiswal. A lot be would be reliant on them as they will have to set the tone for his team.

At No.3, India?s prince Shubman Gill is expected to bat. He batted for India in the series against West Indies and is potentially seen as a replacement of Cheteshwar Pujara. He looked in great touch in the practice game as he slammed a ton and would be hoping to continue the same in the IND vs SA game. 

Virat Kohli is expected to bat at No.4 in the IND vs SA first Test. He?s the one Indian batter that South Africa would be wary of. He has a great track record in South Africa and would be hoping to do continue that. Shreyas Iyer will be making a comeback into the Test team after an injury layoff and is expected to bat at No.5. He will be crucial in the middle orders.?

With Ishan Kishan opting out of the IND vs SA series, KL Rahul is likely to take the gloves and keep the wickets for the team. He is also expected to play a huge role with the bat at No.6. India has been playing only spinner in overseas conditions. They have often preferred Ravindra Jadeja over Ashwin and this time around it is expected the same. Jadeja provides a great batting depth for the team and might get a nod ahead in the first Test. 

Shardul Thakur is likely to be a pace bowling all-rounder in the team. With Mohammed Shami being ruled out, it is likely that India will hand debut cap to Prasidh Krishna. Whereas alongside him, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj are expected to be the two pacers.
