Team India is all set to travel to Ireland for a brief T20I series after its laborious assignment in the West Indies and the USA. Cricket Ireland on Tuesday confirmed the details of the IND vs IRE T20Is soon after the ICC announced the fixtures for the much-awaited World Cup 2023. The three games IND vs IRE T20I series is scheduled to begin on August 18 in the outskirts of Dublin. The second and third games of the series will be held on August 20 and 23 respectively. All the matches will be held in Malahide.

Notably, India's tour of the West Indies is scheduled to conclude on August 13 (Sunday) with the final of the five-match T20I series against the West Indies in Florida. The Indian senior Men's T20I team will subsequently head to Ireland after completing their West Indies assignment.

This will be India's second tour of Ireland in the last 12 months. The Hardik Pandya-led side took on Ireland back in 2022 for a two-game T20I series, which comprehensively went in the favour of the Indians.

Overall this is India's fourth visit to Ireland on cricket duties. Team India's first assignment against Ireland on Irish soil was back in 2007 for a solitary ODI game. The two cricket nations then played bilateral matches (T20I) in 2018 and 2022.

Deutrom mentioned that the last IND vs IRE T20I series in 2022 was a massive hit and they expect the upcoming series to be even bigger.

?We saw two sold-out matches in 2022, so to have a three-match series this year should give even more fans the opportunity to enjoy what is always a memorable occasion.
