IND vs ENG: India’s Expected Squad for next 3 Tests India vs England: The All India Senior Selection Committee led by Ajit Agarkar is scheduled to announce India’s squad for the next 3 India vs England tests on Friday. While there has been a significant delay in the announcement, the reports suggest that the Indian squad is likely to be named on Friday i.e., February 09.

Along with the selection panel consisting of five individuals, Indian captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid will also be present during the selection meeting.

The delay in the announcement of the squad announcement is reportedly due to non-clarity over the fitness of ace all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who is currently at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). After copping a blow to his hamstring in the first test, Ravindra Jadeja was ruled out of the 2nd fixture of the series in Vishakhapatnam.

Now, though, the all-rounder seems to have recovered nicely at the NCA, his availability for the next few games will depend on how he performs in his fitness test.

Meanwhile, KL Rahul, who was also ruled out of the 2nd India vs England Test due quadriceps tear during the 1st test, is deemed fit to play the upcoming test matches. The wicketkeeper batter is expected to make a comeback to the Indian side.

The selection meeting isn’t going to be a cakewalk for the involved individuals as there are many things to look into, fitness of the players is one of them.

The other question will be the availability of Virat Kohli, who hasn’t yet played a single test in the ongoing series against England. Earlier, Kohli made himself unavailable for the first two test matches, but now it seems that the maestro batter will keep himself away from the entire test series due to personal reasons.

Let’s now take a look at India’s expected squad for the next 3 tests India vs England:

Shreyas Iyer, after his multiple failures, is likely to get an axe from the Indian test squad. Reports emerged that the middle-order batter has been asked to hit the domestics once again and subsequently make a place for himself in the Indian squad.

The likes of Mohammad Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah will be present in the upcoming tests. Earlier there were doubts about Jasprit Bumrah’s workload management. However, the pacer is expected to play in the third test in Rajkot. He will be paired alongside Mohammad Siraj.

The Indian management is unlikely to make any changes in the wicketkeeping department. Srikar Bharat is likely to keep the wickets, despite his failures.

The rest of the squad will remain the same for the upcoming three tests against England.
