IND vs ENG: No Virat, No Shami; Check team India Expected Squad for the remaining Test against England

India Cricket Team is all set to face a massive blow ahead of the third IND vs ENG game. Star batter Virat Kohli is unlikely to take part in the last three games of the Test series against England, having missed two matches due to personal reasons. 

As per the reports in ESPNCricinfo, it is learned that Virat Kohli will be missing the third and fourth Tests in Rajkot and Ranchi, respectively. It is also learned that the batter might also miss the last IND vs ENG game in Dharamsala, starting 6th March. 

However, the reports suggested that the selector might ask him to play the last IND vs ENG game. Virat Kohli was all set to play for India right from that start. He arrived in Hyderabad for the first game but flew out the same day, citing personal reasons. 

Virat Kohli missing the last three Tests will be a huge blow for India in the IND vs ENG series. The batter’s absence was quite evident in the first two games as batters in the middle orders didn’t get going and India batters too came under pressure to England spinners.

The Board of Control for Cricket is likely to announce the squad for the last three Tests on 7th February. However, if it gets delayed then it will be named on 8th February. With Virat Kohli likely to miss the games, it is expected that Sarfaraz Khan and Rajat Patidar will retain their place in the team.

KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja missed the second IND vs ENG game after suffering injuries in the first match. Both went to NCA for the recovery process and as per the reports outlook for both players is positive. Although the fitness reports of the duo are still awaited. 

The reports also claimed that Mohammed Siraj will be back in the third IND vs ENG game. The fast bowler was rested for the second game as a precautionary measure and now will be back for the team. The fast bowler played a decent hand in the first game.
