IND vs ENG 3rd Test: Day 1 Stumps, India at 326/5, Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja scored Century | India vs England 3rd Test 2024 Live: India and England are playing the third test match of five matches test series at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot, Ahmedabad. Currently, This test series between both the teams is tied by 1-1 and they will be looking to win this crucial match to get ahead in the series.

The Indian Team played superb cricket on Day 1 in the third test match in Rajkot against England. Skipper Rohit Sharma led the Indian Team from the front and scored a crucial 131 runs whereas Ravindra Jadeja played a fantastic knock of 110 runs after returning from injury that happened in the first test match.

England started the day well as they took a couple of wickets and put the Indian Team on the back foot but they failed to get the wicket of skipper Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja. Mark Wood, who replaced injured Jack Leach for the third test match took three wickets in Rajkot.

India won the toss and they batted first at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot. The Indian Team lost three wickets in the starting ten overs on Day 1 including the wicket of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill and Rajat Patidar. However, Skipper Rohit Sharma played a crucial knock on Day 1 and led the Team to a strong position despite losing three wickets at 33 runs.

Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja made a massive 204 runs for the fourth wicket on Day 1 in Indi’s first inning at Rajkot. Rohit Sharma scored 131 runs in 196 balls with 14 fours and 3 sixes whereas Ravindra Jadeja scored 110 runs in 212 balls with 9 fours and 2 sixes.

After Rohit Sharma got out, Sarfaraz Khan played a good knock of 62 runs in 66 balls in his debut match at Rajkot. However, Ravindra Jadeja is still not out and will continue batting with Kuldeep Yadav on Day 2. From England’s bowling department, Mark Wood took three wickets whereas Tom Hartley took one wicket.
