IND vs BAN: India’s Likely Playing 11 against Bangladesh, NO Place for Jasprit Bumrah: Team India extended its winning run in the ongoing ICC ODI World Cup 2023 after it defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in the most-anticipated clash at the Narendra Modi Stadium, on October 14. The win took India to a one-sided unassailable 8-0 win against Pakistan in the World Cup history. With such a boosting victory against the arch-rivals, Rohit Sharma and his boys would look to continue to ride on the winning momentum as they take on Bangladesh in their next contest.

The Men in Blue’s ODI World Cup 2023 campaign began with a dominating win over Australia in the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Then the convincing hunt against Afghanistan at the Arun Jaitley Stadium provided India its second win of the tournament before striking down the arch-rivals Pakistan at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium.

The next target for Team India would be Bangladesh, against which they will play on October 19 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.

Bangladesh particularly are not having a ball of their time in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023. The Tigers won their opening game against Afghanistan but then got derailed against England and New Zealand in the next contests.

A raging issue for them would be their batting, especially the top and middle-order. In the last two games, Bangladesh have not received a decent start to their innings. Moreover, the pressure handling in the middle-order isn’t encouraging either for the team. Senior wicketkeeper batter Mushfiqur Rahman has been the sole performer for the team in the middle order, with some other batters in the lower order showing their handy batting skills.

Team India, on the other side, have all their checklist covered and have been an early trendsetter in the ODI World Cup 2023. The batting has been spot on, the bowlers have time and again turned the game on its head and the fielders have also been showing their sharp skills.

With such a brilliant start to their home World Cup campaign, there is no going back for the hosts, who aim to put an end to their World Cup title drought this time.

As the game against Bangladesh will not be a high-pressure fixture for Team India, the management might look to rest a few players and give opportunities to the others, who have been warming the bench. There can be other changes in India’s Playing 11 against Bangladesh depending upon the pitch.

Below is the complete detail of the IND vs BAN fixture and India’s Likely Playing 11 against Bangladesh.

Rohit Sharma might think of resting Jasprit Bumrah following three back-to-back games early in the ODI World Cup 2023. It’s important for the team to look after the players who have just recovered from a long injury layover. Ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah fits into that category and Team India can’t afford to lose him at any point.

So he might be replaced by Mohammad Shami, who is quite hard to leave out of the team. Unfortunately, with India’s requirement for deep batting, all-rounder Shardul Thakur takes precedence over Shami, which is quite unfair. But such is team dynamics currently.

In another change, depending upon the behavior of the playing surface, Team India may look to replace Shardul Thakur with spinner R Ashwin, who last played against Australia in Chennai.

India’s Likely Playing 11: Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (wk), Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur/R Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah/Mohammad Shami, Mohammad Siraj.
