IND vs AUS: Revealed - Why is Travis Head not playing the fourth T20I against India

The Indian Cricket Team and the Australian Cricket Team are locking horns with each other in the fourth T20I of the five-match series. The match between the teams is taking place at the Heritage Bank Stadium on the Gold Coast.
The IND vs AUS T20I series is levelled at 1–1 after three T20Is. Coming into the fourth match, Australia made four changes to their XI and one of the changes that raised the eyebrows of many was that of Travis Head. The opening batter was replaced by Josh Philippe.
This made many wonder why Travis Head is not playing the fourth T20I against India. The reason behind that is that he has been released from the Australian squad. The opening batter won’t be there for the last game of the series as well, which will be played on 8 November in Brisbane.
Travis Head has been released from the squad so that he can prepare himself for the Ashes 2025-26. The batter will be playing a Shield match now before joining the Australia squad for the first Test against England, which will be played from November 21 in Perth.
