It's being reported that the seamer will wait till the end of the fourth Test-Match and if the BCCI decides that Shami will not be considered for the fifth and final match of the 2024-25 Border Gavaskar Trophy, then he is anticipated to announce his retirement from the longest of the game.
Some rumors are also suggesting that the pacer will only be ready to play five-day matches for the Men in Blue if they manage to qualify for the final of the 2023-2025 cycle of WTC.
