After being 1-0 down in the series, the Steve Smith-led side produced a magnificent effort with both bat and ball and crushed the hosts to win the game by 10 wickets and level the series.
It was a performance of the highest order by the Australian cricket team as they outshined India in every department and made Sunday, a sad one for Indian fans. The win will give them great confidence, considering the Cricket World Cup 2023. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli then looked positive and played some staggering strokes but Starc broke the mini 29-run partnership as he removed the skipper for 13 runs. The left-arm pacer then continued his carnage as on the very next ball he sent Suryakumar Yadav packing for a golden duck.
KL Rahul, who was the hero of the last match game, was also outshined by the brilliance of Starc as he trapped him in lbw for 9 runs before Sean Abbott and Steve Smith combined to send Hardik Pandya packing for just 1 run.

It seemed that the duo of Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja would bail the team out of trouble. They stitched a short partnership as well but it too didn’t last long as both were back after starts. Axar Patel struck some lusty blows in the end and scored unbeaten 29 runs but didn’t get the desired support as India was folded for just 117 runs.
Mitchell Starc was the pick of bowlers for Australia as he picked his 9th five-wicket haul whereas Sean Abbott and Nathan Ellis combined to pick 5 wickets and made India look clueless.

The Australian duo came out all guns blazing and smashed Indian bowlers all over the park. The bowlers looked clueless as both Marsh and Head smashed brutal half-centuries and finished the game in just 11 overs to win the match and level the series 1-1.
