Asia Cup 2023: The final match of the Super-4 match of the Asia Cup 2023 was played today between India and Bangladesh at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, in which Bangladesh won by 6 runs in a thrilling match against India. This defeat did not make any difference to India because it had already made it to the final of the tournament, but from Bangladesh’s point of view, this is a big victory. This afternoon, Indian team captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bowl first. In reply, while batting, the Bangladesh team scored 265 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. Bangladesh’s start was nothing special, but captain Shakib Al Hasan scored 80 runs in 85 balls with the help of six fours and three sixes. Middle-order batsman Towhid Hridoy played an innings of 54 runs in 81 balls with the help of five fours and two sixes.

In bowling, Mohammed Shami, playing the first match of the Asia Cup 2023 for the Indian team, took two wickets for 32 runs in 8 overs, while Shardul Thakur took three wickets for 65 runs in 10 overs. Prasidh Krishna, Axar Patel, and Jadeja all got one wicket each.

Chasing an easy score of 265 runs, the Indian team was all out for 259 runs in 39.5 overs. For the Indian team, only Shubman Gill played a good innings, he scored 121 runs in 133 balls with the help of eight fours and 5 sixes. Apart from him, Axar Patel stood at the wicket till the end but proved unsuccessful in helping his team win. He played an inning of 42 runs in 34 balls with the help of three fours and two sixes.

The final match of the Asia Cup 2023 will be played between 6-time tournament winner Sri Lanka and 7-time tournament winner India at 3:00 PM IST on Sunday at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
