ICC World Cup 2023 Qualifiers, Scotland announces Squad for CWC Qualifiers 2023 Zimbabwe: Scotland Cricket Board announced the 15 members squad for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 Qualifier, which will held in Zimbabwe from June 18th to July 9th 2023.

ICC World Cup 2023 Qualifiers: Scotland announces Squad

Scotland booked their spot for World Cup 2023 Qualifiers after winning the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 title in February 2023. Now, they are going with the same squad to play the qualifiers and expecting to finish in the top two spots of ICC World Cup 2023 Qualifiers, which will help them to book their place in the World Cup 2023.

They Made two changes in their squad from the previous squad, which is in League 2, Alasdair Evans, and Adrain Neil will replace retired Kyle Coetzer and Liam Naylor, respectively. Evans signed a contract with the Scotland Cricket Board to play international matches for Scotland from season 2023-24. Evans started playing One Day International(ODI) cricket matches after 2021.

Scotland coach said about the squad for World Cup 2023 Qualifiers :

He said “they has chosen a balanced squad for the upcoming Tournament. The squad of Scotland is a mixture of both youngsters and senior players, which makes their squad well-balanced and looking to win the Qualifiers.

Senior players like Richie and George will lead the Scotland teams, whereas Chris McBride and Jack Jarvis are young talented players of Scotland, who will be playing their first big Tournament.”  

Scotland hoping to win the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 Qualifiers:

Scotland won the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 League 2 and hoped to continue their form in the upcoming World Cup Qualifier, where they will play with nine other teams for two spots in the World Cup 2023.

West Indies, Sri Lanka, Ireland, Netherlands, and Zimbabwe are the bottom five teams of the Super League and they got a direct qualification in the qualifiers, whereas Scotland, Oman and Nepal secured the spot in the qualifiers after finishing in the top three spots in the World Cup 2023 League 2.

From World Cup qualifiers Playoffs, USA and UAE are the top two teams who secured a place for the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023 Qualifiers.

Richie Berrington (C), Matthew Cross, Alasdair Evans, Adrian Neill, Safyaan Sharif, Michael Leask, Tom Mackintosh, Chris McBride, Brandon McMullen, Chris Greaves, Jack Jarvis, George Munsey, Chris Sole, Hamza Tahir, Mark Watt.
