They lost the first three matches in the World Cup 2023 but made a strong comeback with two straight wins against England and the Netherlands. Now their unfortunate loss against Bangladesh forced them to lose 1 rating point but still maintained their 7th rank.

England lost a three-match ODI series to West Indies after a mediocre World Cup campaign. They are in 6th position with 97 rating points after 39 matches. While their opponent, West Indies are in 10th position after a 2-1 ODI series victory over England at home.
