With ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 around the corner, former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri has picked three uncapped players who have impressed him in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 and can make the cut into the Indian squad for World Cup.?

The ongoing IPL 2023 has seen some magnificent performances from the young batters. The likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Tilak Varma, Rinku Singh, Jitesh Sharma and many others have set the stage on fire and have made many stands and applaud them for their performances. All have been prime performers for their respective teams and have contributed to wins. 

Ravi Shastri has been quite impressed by all but three players that stood out for him are Tilak Varma, Rinku Singh and Yashasvi Jaiswal. He feels that they push for a spot in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 as they have been terrific. Speaking on the latest episode of?The ICC Review, he said:?

"But I would put Tilak Varma, I would put Jaiswal, I'd put Rinku Singh. (They) are the candidates who can really push through along with Ruturaj Gaikwad, who's been around for a while.These are the guys who can push for selection, depending on their form closer to the World Cup. And depending on injuries. If there are injuries to any key players, then these guys can come straight away into the mix."

They have played brilliant cricket in the league so far. Talking about Jaiswal, the southpaw has set the league ablaze. He has scored 575 runs and is the third leading run-getter in the league to go with one hundred and 4 fifties.?

Whereas on the other hand, Tilak Varma, who was the leading run-getter for Mumbai Indians last year, has been impressive too this time around. Although he has missed the last few games due to injury, but he has been right there on the mark. He has scored 274 runs in 9 innings at an average of 45.67 to go with one half-century. 

While the man of five sixes, Rinku Singh is the leading run-getter for Kolkata Knight Riders and is one of the most consistent batters in the league. He has scored 407 runs at an average of 50.88 and a strike rate of 143.30. Also, he has smashed 3 half-centuries.
