The “like a dream” spell of Siraj also put him in the TOP-3 wicket-takers in the Asia Cup 2023 with 10 wickets at an average of 12.2. He surpassed big names in ODI cricket like Trent Boult, Rashid Khan, and Mitchell Starc.

Performances in the Asia Cup propelled Afghanistan spinners Mujeeb Ur Rahman (No. 4) and Rashid Khan (No. 5) into the top five. They both grabbed two wickets in the group stage. Only these individuals advanced into the top 10.

Moving to the RSA vs AUS ODI Series, Keshav Maharaj also had an amazing series, particularly in the last ODI where he took 4 crucial wickets. The left-arm spinner took 8 wickets in the 5-match ODI series with an average of ~17 and an economy of just 4. His brilliant show has helped him reach at 15th spot (9+) in the ICC Bowling rankings.

Although Kuldeep had a very good tournament with the ball, he slipped 3 spots and currently stands in 9th position. Rather, none of the other Indian bowlers are in the top 20s of the ICC Bowling rankings.

Surprisingly, Shaheen Shah Afridi is the only Pakistani bowler in the top 20 of the ICC Men’s ODI Bowling Standings.
