Virat Kohli: Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore clashed with each other in the 65th game of the IPL 2023. The Faf du Plessis-led side produced a magnificent effort with both bat and ball and won the game by 8 wickets to keep their hopes alive for the playoffs. Virat Kohli was the star performer of the game as he looked a class apart and played his best inning this season.

Royal Challengers Bangalore batter Virat Kohli was at his vintage best in the 65th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The batter yet again proved why is he rated as the King of cricket. 

After SRH posted a total of 187 runs, a special effort was needed from someone and it was no other than Kohli who put his hand up and took his side to a win when it mattered the most as RCB kept their hopes alive for the playoffs. 

Kohli looked settled from the ball 1 and played some fantabulous strokes that made many stand and applaud him. He stitched 172 runs partnership with skipper Faf du Plessis, who scored 71 runs and helped his side complete a comfortable 8-wicket win.

Virat Kohli smashed his first century after 2019 in the IPL and it’s fair to say that this too was right up there. He scored 100 runs in just 63 balls and batted with a strike rate of 158.73, smashing 12 fours and 4 sixes in his innings. He was also awarded the Player of the Match award for his heroics.

After his ton against SRH, Virat Kohli broke a plethora of records. He became the first batter to complete 7500 runs for the Royal Challengers Bangalore and also completed 500 runs in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. Not only this he also now has the most hundreds by an Indian and also the most centuries in a run chase by an Indian.
