IPL 2021: Good News for Delhi Capitals as Ishant Sharma continues his good form.

IPL 2021: Delhi Capitals will be happy to see their key pacer coming back into form. Ishant Sharma continues his superb form in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021 as he takes two wickets against AP. With the help of his two wickets, Delhi registered a six-wicket victory over AP in its second game.

The 32-year-old pacer also picked two wickets in the first game against Mumbai where his team defeated Mumbai by 76 runs.

Ishant Sharma was ruled out of IPL and Australia tour:

Ishant Sharma was out of the competitive cricket for a while. He had sustained abdominal muscle tear in the IPL 2020. Due to the injury, the pacer was ruled out of the whole IPL in the first game itself. The pacer was also ruled out of the Australia tour due to lack of full match fitness and poor agility.

Ishant Sharma then directly went to his domestic side Delhi after completing his rehab at National Cricket Acadmy (NCA) Bangalore.

The upcoming edition of Indian Premier Leguue is just 3 months away from its opener, Delhi will be delighted to welcome the senior pacer with good form. After his performances in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Delhi Capitals franchise will surely retain him and will be assure for his form.

Coming back to Delhi vs Andra Pradesh in Syed Mushtaq ALi Trophy, Delhi opted to bowl after winning the toss. Spinner Pradeep Sangwan picked three scalps while Ishant Sharma, Simarjeet Singh and Lalit Yadav got two each in their bags. Delhi restricted Andra to just 124 runs.

Delhi knowing the easy chase, crossed the winning mark with three overs to spare. Delhi in loss of four wickets chased down the small target to register their second consecutive win in the tournament.
