Gautam Gambhir vs S Sreeshanth Controversy | Legends League Cricket 2023

Gautam Gambhir vs S Sreeshanth Controversy: Gautam Gambhir and S Sreeshanth got into an abusive argument during the Legends League Cricket Eliminator match between Gujarat Giants and India Capitals. The two had an argument to the point that players and the umpires had to interfere and stop them in order to prevent things from getting worse between the two players.

The altercation between the two occurred during the second half of the game. Gambhir hit a six and a four off Sreeshanth’s bowling, and when Sreeshanth bowled a dot ball during that over, the two exchanged words. Things got worse when, at the end of the sixth over, both of them got into a heated dispute with each other.

The India Capitals managed to post a huge total of 223 runs on the board thanks to Skipper Gambhir’s knock of 51 runs on 30 balls at a strike rate of 170, and other batters chipped in with valuable contributions as well. In reply to the target set by the India Capitals, the Gujarat Giants only managed to score 211 runs in their 20 overs, and the India Capitals went on to win the eliminator by 12 runs.

After the match ended, the former Indian bowler said that the former Indian opening batsman was very rude and called him Mr Fighter. Today, Sreeshanth went live on his Instagram and revealed the details regarding the conflict between the two former Indian players. He kept on calling me on live television, on the center pitch… I did not use a single bad word. I kept on saying, ‘What are you saying? What are you saying?”. In fact, I kept laughing in a sarcastic way because he kept calling me ‘fixer, fixer’. Forgive my language, but he said, ‘F*ck off, fixer’. This is the language that he used on live TV. In fact, he used the same language when the umpires tried to control him. In fact, I moved, but he kept repeating the same thing.

“This is to clear the air. This is the real truth,” Sreesanth said.

Gautam Gambhir tweeted a post on his X handle in reply to this controversy, and the caption of his tweet was ‘Smile when the world is all about attention’ hinting that the former Indian opener is not paying attention to Sreeshanth’s words.
