CSK vs RCB: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) player MS Dhoni is on the verge of achieving a massive feat in the Indian Premier League (IPL).  The keeper-batter is just 43 runs away from reaching 5000 runs for Chennai in the league.

MS Dhoni will be having a massive opportunity to achieve the feat in the upcoming CSK vs RCB fixture in the IPL 2024. The first game of the tournament will be played on Friday (22nd March) at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai.

If MS Dhoni gets 43 runs in the CSK vs RCB game, he will become just the second player from Chennai Super Kings to achieve the feat. He will be joining Suresh Raina in the elusive feat. The keeper-batter has been an incredible servant for the side.

IPL 2024 will see MS Dhoni playing only as a keeper-batter in the league. He stepped down as the skipper of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and handed over the captaincy to Ruturaj Gaikwad. The young batter’s first assignment will be the CSK vs RCB game.

MS Dhoni stepping down as a captain of CSK means he potentially will be playing his last season in the IPL. The keeper-batter would be keen to sign off on high and entertain his fans for the one last time. With CSK playing its first game in Chepauk, he is likely to get huge roars.

Due to knee issues, Ms Dhoni batted down the order last year. However, with him being fit this year, it is expected that he might bat higher in the order. The keeper-batter will be vital for Chennai’s chances in the IPL this year and fans would be keen to see him.

“I have Mahi bhai in the team, Jaddu bhai (Ravindra Jadeja), Ajju bhai (Ajinkya Rahane), so nothing much to worry about. I am just looking forward to enjoying it.”
