Steve Smith: Today in the Big Bash League, Australia’s top batsman Steve Smith contributed another ferocious inning for the Sydney Sixers. Against the Sydney Thunder, he scored 125 runs in 66 balls with a strike rate of 189.39. In his inning, Smith hit 5 fours and 9 sixes. Smith has now scored two centuries in a row in the BBL. Earlier, he batted brilliantly against the Adelaide Strikers and scored 101 runs in 56 balls.

He had a base price of 2 crores and was offered in the IPL 2023 season’s auction. Smith, however, received no IPL franchise proposal since he was deemed unfit for this format. Smith has demonstrated in the Big Bash that it will be challenging to ignore him in the T20 league. Talking about the match, Sydney Sixers scored 187 runs in 19 overs while losing 2 wickets. The entire Sydney Thunder team reached the pavilion after scoring 62 runs in 14.4 overs while chasing the target.
