BAN-W vs IND-W: History!! Bangladesh Defeated India First Time in Women’s ODI: India Women and Bangladesh Women played the first ODI match at Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur.

Bangladesh Women Defeated India Women in the first ODI by 40 runs through the DLS method. The Player of the Match was Marufa Akter, who took four wickets.

Indian Women have shown poor performance in the first match of the ODI series. However, They won the T20I series by 2-1 but lost the last match by two wickets. The Batting Department didn’t perform well in this match; hence they failed to chase the low target.

Bangladesh Women successfully defended the low target of 153 runs and beat India Women in the first ODI. Skipper Nigar Sultana played a crucial inning of 39 runs in 64 balls, whereas Bowlers gave an excellent performance.

After losing the toss, Bangladesh Women came to bat first, and they had a slow start but couldn’t lose the early wickets. Then Skipper Nigar Sultana made small partnerships with other players and led her team from the front.

Bangladesh Women scored 152 runs on the scoreboard in 50 overs; Skipper Nigar Sultana made 39 runs, whereas Fargana Hoque scored 27 runs in 45 balls, and Sultana Khatun made 16 runs in 20 balls.

Indian Women’s bowled fantastically in the first ODI as they all got 152 runs in 43 overs; Amanjot Kaur took four wickets, whereas Devika Vaidya got two wickets.

Indian Women came to bat in the second inning, and they kept losing the wickets and hence got all out at 113 runs in 35.5 overs. Most of the Batters had scored double-digit runs but couldn’t cross 15+ runs except two batters.

Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur got out by scoring just five runs, whereas All-Rounder Deepti Sharma scored 20 runs in 40 balls, and Amanjot Kaur and Yastika Bhatia made 15 runs each.

Bangladesh Women showed good intent and bowled out a strong batting line-up of India Women is very appreciable; Marufa Akter took four wickets in just a seven-over spell, whereas Rabeya Khatun took three wickets.
