BAN-W vs IND-W 2023: India Women defeated Bangladesh by 7 Wickets in the 1st T20I: India Women and Bangladesh played the 1st T20I match of three matches series at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur.

India Women shown excellent cricket and defeated Bangladesh Women, and Now, They are leading the series by 1-0. The Player of the Match Was Indian Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur.

Bangladesh Women batted well, but bowling wasn’t good after the Powerplay. Shoma Akter played well with the bat, whereas Sultana Khatun Bowls had a fantastic spell but didn’t get support from the other end.

After Losing the Toss, Bangladesh Women came to bat, and they had a decent start but lost some wickets in the middle overs; hence the run rate got slower, and they could score only 114 runs on the scoreboard in the 20 overs.

Shoma After scored 28 runs in 28 balls at a strike rate of 100.00, whereas Shobhana Mostary and Shathi Rani Bormon scored 23 and 22 runs, respectively. From Indian Side, Pooja Vastrakar, Minnu Mani, and Shafali Verma took one wicket each.

In the Second Inning, India Women played aggressive cricket and easily chased the target in just 16.2 overs. Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur played a wonderful inning and kept building pressure on Bangladesh Bowlers so that they couldn’t bounce back in the game.

Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana made a partnership of 70 runs for the 3rd wicket. Smriti scored 38 runs in 34 balls, whereas Skipper Harmanpreet scored 54 runs in 35 balls.

From Bangladesh Side, Sultana Khatun was bowling well; otherwise, other bowlers were very leaking lots of runs and couldn’t build pressure on Indian Batters when any wicket fell. Sultana took two wickets in this match.
