BAN vs AFG: Litton Das led-Bangladesh is roaring on the top! Bangladesh is displaying a top-class game against Afghanistan in the Dhaka test and set the record-highest 4th-inning target for Afghanistan. Bangladesh Set 662 runs Target for Afghanistan in the only test match of the Afghanistan Tour of Bangladesh 2023.

This one-off test match is being played at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka. Afghanistan won the toss and surprisingly opted to bowl first. In the subcontinent region, most of the teams look to put runs on the board first but Afghanistan had some other plans which totally backfired.

The match started with a 6-run first over and a wicket in the first ball of the second over. Najmul Hossain Shanto shone in the first Inning and smashed the Afghanistani bowlers all around the park. Riding on his 146 runs and a couple of other significant contributions, Bangladesh got bowled out for 386 runs in 86 overs.

Afghanistan, in the first innings, looked in a hurry to lose wickets. The highest scorer of Afghanistan was Zazai and there were 36 runs off his bat. Bangladesh wrapped up the first innings of Afghanistan in just 146 within 39 overs taking a lead of 240 runs.

Bangladesh again came to bat and the story was the same yet another time. An early breakthrough and then a solid partnership of around 180 runs and this boy Najmul Hossain Shanto struck another century in the second innings, Two in two! Mominul Haque was another superstar to smoke a century later that day. After a quick century of Litton Das, Bangladesh were 425/4 when they decided to declare the innings.

A mammoth total was set against Afghanistan and the prime batsman Ibrahim Zadran was out lbw in the very first ball. Soon Abdul Malik went back to the pavilion. Now, at the end of Day 3, Afghanistan are 45/2 in 11 overs and need 617 more runs in order to win the only BAN vs AFG test.
