BAN vs AFG 2023: In the One-Off Test Match Between Bangladesh and Afghanistan, Bangladeshi top order batsmen, Najmul Hossain Shanto played incredible knocks in both innings of this test match. He became the second Bangladeshi batter, who scored a century in both innings of the test match.

Najmul Hossain Shanto completed his second century in just 115 balls, the fastest by any Bangladeshi in test cricket. Shanto came after the fall of the first wicket at 18 runs. After that, he made an impressive partnership of 173 runs with Zakir Hasan.

Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mominul Haque scored century in the second inning and helped Bangladesh to take the lead of 600+ runs in this match. Mominul Haque scored 101* runs in the second innings.

Mominul Haque was the first Bangladeshi who scored a century in both innings of a test match. In 2018, Mominul Haque created history against Sri Lanka after knocking centuries in both innings. Former Captain Mominul Haque scored 176 runs in the first inning and 105 in the second innings against Sri Lanka in the Chittagong test in 2018.

In the first inning, Shanto played 146 runs innings in just 175 balls, including 23 fours and two sixes and in the second inning, he scored 124 runs in just 151 balls. He scored 270 runs in both innings, which will help him to improve his test average and ICC ranking.

Before this test match, he scored 1013 runs in 23 test matches, including two centuries and three half-centuries. Shanto led his team to a big score. In the first inning, Bangladesh scored 382 runs. A Young Fast Afghan bowler, Nijat Masood took five wickets for Bangladesh in the match’s first innings. 

Ebadot Hossain stopped Afghanistan at 146 runs in the first inning of Afghanistan. He took four crucial wickets in a ten overs spell. Other Bangladeshi bowlers, Shoriflum Islam, Mehidy Hasan, and Taijul Islam took two wickets each.
