The ODI series kicks off on February 2, with the first ODI set to take place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). The action then shifts to the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), where the second ODI will take place, and the third and final ODI will be played at Canberra?s Manuka Oval Stadium
The visitors are coming off a 2-1 One Day International series victory over England, while the Australians will be playing their first 50-over game since defeating India in the ODI World Cup 2023 final. The Aussies will be playing under the leadership of Steve Smith, while Shai Hope will handle the leadership duties for the Windies.
Aussie opener David Warner recently announced his retirement from One Day Internationals; therefore, the series against the Windies will be the first One Day International series of the Kangaroo?s without the services of Warner.
