Australia vs India 4th Test Match: Team India’ injury misery compounded as the pacer Navdeep Saini complaint of Groin pain during the day 1 of the fourth test match at Brisbane Gaba. Saini was taken for the scans after he struggled to complete his over.

Navdeep Saini could only bowl 5 balls of his 8th over during the second session before he waled off the ground to go for the further scans. The participation of the pacer is on doubt as the scan reports are still not revealed by the management.

“Navdeep Saini has complained of pain in his groin. He is currently being monitored by the BCCI medical team,” read a short statement from the BCCI on the one-Test-old bowler’s condition.

Team India’s vice-captain Rohit Sharma completed his one left ball.

Team India’s injury misery:

India has struggled to retain its key players day by day, it will be a huge blow if Saini fails to come out tomorrow morning. Indian had lost most of its important players, Jaspirt Bumrah and Ravichandran Ashwin are two new names in the list.

Ashwin complained of the stiff back during the Sydney Test match. Even though he was in pain but the cricketer showed tough character not to lose wickets and held the wicket from one end.

Jasprit Bumrah who was being monitored regularly also failed to prove himself fit before the match started.

In absence of Saini, India will be left with four bowling options of which Shardul Thakur seems to be leaking runs. Australia is riding strong with Marnus Labuschagne completing his 5th Test ton.

Before the stumps of Day 1 of 4th Test match, Australia in the loss of 5 wickets scored 274 runs. Skipper Tim Paine along with all-rounder Cameron Green has been looking solid at the end.

The series is right now locked at 1-1 after three games off which one game ended in draw.
