IPL 2021 News & Updates: Royal Challengers Bangalore’s star young opener Devdutt Padikkal time and time again proved his worth as an opener. This time, his unbeaten 99 powered Karnataka to a win in ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021. After his superb performance in his debut IPL season, now he will be eyeing to make a spike in his salary.

RCB in 2019 brought the youngster for mere 20 lakhs and he proved his mettle by slamming consecutive half-centuries in his first four innings. Devdutt Paddikal also broke many records as a debutant and received the Emerging Player of the Season Award in 2020.

The young talented opener amassed 473 runs in 15 games with an average of 31.53 which also includes five half-centuries. He scored all the runs with an impressive strike rate of 124.80 and showed signs of a promising player.
