IPL 2021: SRH skipper David Warner doubtful for IPL 2021

Australia vs India: David Warner ruled out of the second Test against India.

Australia vs India 2nd Test: Yet another shock for the Australian Team as star opener David Warner is ruled out of the second Boxing Day Test against India as he fails to recover from his injury on time.

Cricket Australia’s governing body said on Wednesday, Warner and Sean Abbott will be missing the squad for the second Boxing Day test and have been excluded from the bio-secure bubble.

Neither of the players has been specific to the hotspot of the Covid-19 outbreak but Cricket Australia’s health protocols and Bio-secure environment does not allow them to join the squad for the second test.

Australia and India will begin the Melbourne Boxing Day Test on December 26 and the teams have been practicing in the Bio-secure bubble.

Both the cricketers, Warner and Sean Abbott flew to Melbourne to join the rest of the squad to avoid the quarantine protocol issues arising due to sudden Covid outburst in Sydney.

Warner excluded from the Squad:

The reports suggest Warner would have been recovered by the time but the strict rules prevented them to join the team.

Star Opener David Warner picked Groin Injury during the second ODI game against India and since then he is out of the ground completing his rehab program.

The authorities of New South Whales have been trying to contain the Covid-19 cluster that arose a few days back in the largest city of Australia. As per the authorities, the marks are still below 100 and the government announced ease on the restrictions to celebrate Christmas.

However, it still remains to be seen if it affects the third test game which is scheduled to be held in Sydney on January 7.
