Australia jolted ahead of the first ODI against India! Adam Zampa and Josh Inglis ruled out due to this huge reason, replacements announced
The Australian Cricket Team has been jolted with the massive blow just ahead of the first ODI against the Indian Cricket Team. Star players in Adam Zampa and Josh Inglis have been ruled out of the match, which will be played in Perth on 19th October.
This comes as a massive blow as Australia is already without key players in the series. With them now losing Adam Zampa and Josh Inglis, this automatically makes India the favourites to win the first game in Perth.
Adam Zampa will be missing the IND vs AUS first ODI due to paternity reasons, while Josh Inglis is yet to recover from the calf injury. Both players are expected to play the last ODI and also the five-match T20I series, which will be played after the ODIs.
In place of Adam Zampa, Australia has added Matthew Kuhnemann to the team for the first ODI, while Josh Philippe has been included in the side for Inglis. Both players are expected to feature in the XI of the first ODI in Perth.
Adam Zampa, whose wife Harriet is in the late stages of pregnancy with their second child, is expected to play the last two games of the series. While, Inglis will be playing the last match of the series followed by the T20Is.
Australia will be boosted by the inclusion of Alex Carey in the second ODI. The keeper-batter will miss the first game due to a Sheffield Shield match for South Australia against Queensland but will play the last two games of the series against India.
