ASIA CUP 2025 Points Table Updated After Bangladesh National Team's Thumping Victory Against HONG KONG
Bangladesh began their Asia Cup 2025 campaign with a comfortable win over Hong Kong by 7 wickets in Abu Dhabi. First Afghanistan, then India, and now Bangladesh have started their tournament on a winning note.
Hong Kong batted first and finished on 143 for 7 in their 20 overs. Nizakat Khan top-scored with 42 while Yasim Murtaza added quick runs, but Bangladesh bowlers kept picking wickets at the right time. Tanzim Hasan Shakib was the pick of the bowlers with two wickets.
Chasing 144, Litton Das led the way with an unbeaten half-century while Towhid Hridoy played a steady knock to guide Bangladesh home in 17.4 overs.
Hong Kong showed some fight with the bat compared to their earlier outing against Afghanistan, but once again fell short of putting up a big total. In reply, Bangladesh lost two wickets early, but Litton Das took charge and finished with 59 runs. Hridoy remained unbeaten on 35 as Bangladesh secured the points without much trouble.
