Young Mousom Dhakal and Sudeep Jora have received their maiden call-ups for the Asia Cup 2023 after both players missed out on an opportunity to feature in ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Qualifiers in Zimbabwe.
Nepal is slated to visit Pakistan soon for a week-long camp in the run-up to the Asia Cup 2023. They will play a couple of warm-up matches against the PCB-designated teams before taking on India and Pakistan in the continental tournament.
The development was confirmed by the Cricket Association of Nepal through a social media tweet. “The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced the final squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023. The Nepal team will go through a week-long preparation camp in Pakistan, where the team will train and play matches against PCB-designated teams,” it captioned.
Notably, Nepal will have the monumental task of playing against India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2023. The three aforementioned teams are paired together in Group A while the other group consists of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
