Asia Cup 2022: 3 Lessons from the India VS Pakistan Game.

|Ravindra Jadeja |

The Indian cricket team was at the top of its game in the game against Pakistan in Asia Cup 2022. The team was rolling over the opposition with the ball in hand. With the bat, it was a bit of a struggle but that was covered up by our lower middle order. There are many learnings or lessons for the cricket community from this iconic clash. The game featured many moments of electric fielding and athleticism too. So, what did we learn from this game:

Pakistan Middle-Order Batting Can Collapse in Asia Cup 2022:

The most important lesson that Pakistan can take back is the fact that they have a fragile middle order which is vulnerable. It can collapse at any time. The consecutive fall of wickets in the over of Hardik Pandya left the team stranded. The team needs to bring in more reliable players. Shadab Khan who is genuinely a great batter can come to bat up the order and take responsibility. The other option is either of Rizwan or Babar batting in the middle order and Fakhar Zaman can open. The team can also try out the option of Haider Ali.

Hardik Pandya is one of the Most Crucial Players for India in Asia Cup 2022:

Hardik Pandya and his success is the key to the Indian cricket team. Pandya?s bowling was the difference between the two teams. He took the 3 most important wickets and flipped the game in India?s favor. Hardik came into bat at number 6 and took the game deep. He ended up scoring 33 runs off just 17 balls. If there is a replacement for Hardik Pandya on this globe then it is Andre Russell. So, there are only two players of that standard. Hardik Pandya and his fitness are key for India as he brings in a great 6th bowling option.

India Wants a Left-Hander in the top 4:

The fact that India sent Ravindra Jadeja to bat at number 4 in the game against Pakistan proves that India wants a left-hander at number 4. Earlier it was Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina who was left-handed and batted at number 4, now it is either Pant or Jadeja. The Indian team is relying on Ravindra Jadeja?s abilities. But is Jadeja a genuine batter or just a makeshift option? Only time will tell.
