Argentine attacker Facundo Farias ruled out for the entire 2024 MLS Season
Argentina international, 21-year-old Facundo Farias ruled out of the entire MLS 2024 season due to injury. The Inter-Miami midfielder suffered an ACL injury during their first pre-season friendly against El Salvador on Monday. He has damaged his knee ligaments and is expected to be out for a long run.
The MLS official stated, ?Farias suffered an injury to his left Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) on Friday, January 19 against the El Salvador national team at the Estadio Cuscatlan. The Argentinian will undergo surgery at Baptist Health in the coming weeks and is expected to be sidelined for the remainder of the season.?

Inter Miami suffers a major blow before the start of the season

Farias made 95 appearances for Colon in his term from 2019-2023, netting the ball 16 times. Farias joined The Herons last summer for a reported $5.5 million. Coming from the Argentine side Colon, half a season into the MLS, Farias tallied three goals and two assists in 13 matches across all competitions.
The injury is a big blow for Inter Miami, they are looking to cover up the space by showing interest in River plate midfielder Agustin Palavecino. The Florida-based franchise might be looking to loan the player as a replacement for the upcoming season.
