PSL 2023 Final: Anticipation Builds as Teams Prepare for PSL Final Showdown: The results of eliminator round 2 of PSL are out and we now have two clear names of teams locking horns at the PSl final today– Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars. Thanks to the terrific win by defending champions Lahore Qalandars against the Peshawar Zalmi, we will see a repeat of last year’s final where Multan Sultans took on Lahore qalandars.

After 7 victories and 3 losses from their first 10 matches in the league, Lahore Qalandars are in first place in the points chart for the 2023 Pakistan Super League (PSL). The total score for the team is 14. While Multan Sultans are placed in the second position at the points table with 6 victories and 4 losses and a total score of 10.

The bets are high on Multan sultans after they destroyed Qalandars in the last match where they won by 84 runs. All thanks to the all-rounder, Kieron pollard who could be a raging threat to the qalandars. They also need to watch out for Rizwan, who is in terrific form since the beginning of PSL and has scored 516 runs in the league so far.

Last year, Lahore Qalandars smashed Multan Sultans in the final raising the bar to the top and emerging as one of the most robust teams of PSl. But this year, their performance has been rather off-putting and fans are showing disappointment in last year’s champions. They performed quite well against Peshawar in their most recent match, but they still have a lot of room for improvement.

Moreover, captain Shaheen Afridi has been showing poor performance for the past few matches even after a good start. All eyes are on Haris Rauf who can prove to be an asset for the finals as he has marked his skills as a bowler in this year’s PSL.

The final showdown will be held at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on 18th march at 7:30 PM IST.

Players to watch out for:

Mohammad Rizwan– the Multan sultan skipper is all set to smash the qalandars as he has been brilliant throughout the tournament.

Fakhar Zaman– the qalandars aren’t coming slow with Zaman being the top scorer throughout their matches. A few more swings from his bat can lead qalandars to victory.

Abbas Afridi: The 21-year-old bowler has taken 23 wickets in 10 games and is presently the tournament’s highest wicket-taker.
