Arguably, Jadeja is one of the finest all-rounders in the present era. He has dethroned several big stars with his all-around skills. His numbers in the test format in recent times are staggering. He has been a vital cog for India in red-ball cricket.
The cricketer has often surpassed the likes of Ravichandran Ashwin in the overseas test matches as he is favoured ahead of the seasoned off-spinner Ashwin.
Ravindra Jadeja’s batting records as an all-rounder are second to none. He has played a vital role in team India’s success in test cricket overseas. He has been brilliant with his bowling as well. He delivers crucial wickets with his canny abilities.
And, no one can ever forget what he can do with his rocket arm throw and intimidating fielding abilities. The all-rounder has been a treat for every captain he played for.
Jadeja averages 33.76 in 56 Test matches he has played as a batsman in which he has mustered 2195 runs. Moreover, the all-rounder has uprooted 232 wickets at an economy of 2.41 and an average of a little below 25.
However, his decision to take retirement from red-ball cricket may come as a shocker for the team and his fans.
