ALL 20 Qualified Teams for ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026

The lineup for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 is officially complete. The 20 teams that will battle it out for the coveted trophy in India and Sri Lanka have now been confirmed, marking the beginning of a new chapter in world cricket.

The final three slots were secured earlier this week as Nepal, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates qualified through the Asia/East Asia-Pacific Qualifier. For Nepal, this will be their second consecutive and third overall appearance in the T20 World Cup. Oman will feature for the fourth time, while UAE returns for its third appearance, the first since 2022.

The 2026 edition is expected to be played in the early months of the year, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. Interestingly, Italy will make their first-ever T20 World Cup appearance after progressing through the European Qualifier along with the Netherlands.

India will enter the tournament as defending champions after their thrilling seven-run victory over South Africa in the 2024 final. They are also among the three nations to have lifted the T20 World Cup more than once, alongside England and West Indies. The 2026 edition will follow the same format as the 2024 tournament, featuring four groups of five teams each.

The top two sides from every group will move into the Super Eights, followed by semi-finals and the grand final that will decide the world’s best T20 team.
