Ajinkya Rahane received a grand welcome upon arriving India by wife and daughter.

As India conquered the Australian tour with a 2-1 test lead, the players of Team India received a grand welcome upon arriving India. Skipper Ajinkya Rahane who pulled up the side from the humiliating debacle of 36 all-out, got a heartwarming welcome by wife and daughter.

Ajinkya Rahane along with Rohit Sharma, coach Ravi Shastri and Prithwi Shaw landed on Mumbai Airport earlier this morning.

Ajinkya Rahane was greeted by a couple of Dhols and Flowers after inking the history on Australian soil. Rahane led the side after Virat Kohli left Australia due to paternity leave. India made a commendable comeback after the first game loss at Adelaide and went onto win the series with 2-1.

Ajinkya Rahane was not only greeted by wife and daughter but a lot of supporters were also present there with their masks on. Rahane’s 2 years old daughter didn’t leave her father as she looked happy seeing Ajinkya after long 2-3 months.

Flowers were showered on the Ajinkya Rahane as he addressed his supporters in his calm and gentle nature. Rahane also thanked all of the fans to support them and kept their wishes for the Indian cricket team.

According to the reports, Indian full squad landed in Mumbai earlier and will undergo a 3 days quarantine. Rishabh Pant along with his fellow mates was also spotted at Delhi airport and soon left for their respective cities.

Since a lot of cricketers went directly to Australia after completion of IPL, the players felt happy to see their homeland and their families.

Now, the Indian cricket team will start preparing for the upcoming England series which will begin from 5th February. India and England will play 4 test matches, 5 T20I and three ODIs.

The squad for the first two test matches has been announced by the BCCI and Chennai will host the first two games.
